Fashion Friday: Evian x Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh has, once again, proved that nothing is beyond him nor fashion, as he successfully makes water stylish.

That’s right, our Fashion Friday pick this week, is all about H2O, as Abloh has just finished off a collaboration with mineral water brand, Evian. Their famous tagline, ‘Live Young,’ refers to the young, playful and creative nature of their target audience and it’s safe to say that it is an audience that the Off-White founder knows well.

The ‘One Drop Can Make a Rainbow’ collection was inspired by the rainbow, itself, one of the most beautiful but simple natural phenomena. Virgil said about the concept: ”The idea that one drop of water can grow into a rainbow was the inspiration and metaphor for my first project as Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design for evian®. When the light breaks through that drop, the whole range of colours is shown. We see not only water, but endless possibilities and inspiration for everyone. Every person.”

The collection consists of a beautiful, refillable glass Soma water bottle, designed as a hydration accessory for a trendy, conscious generation that is always on the move and wants to drink natural mineral water. The shatter-proof glass bottle has a handy silicone sleeve for more grip, a leak-free cap made of natural bamboo and is decorated with Virgil’s mantra ”Rainbow Inside”. The bottle is available in various striking colours, as well.
