Daily Paper release Afrofuturistic collection for FW19
Our highlight of the week in fashion comes from the Amsterdam-based Daily Paper as it releases a Fall collection that covers all with some standout pieces.
DP’s whole aesthetic and ethos is inspired by its roots in Africa and this is always shown in details on their clothing. Aiming to discourage stereotypes about the continent and its culture, this has been dubbed Afrofuturism as futuristic looks are formed with nods to traditional wear.
The collection is incredibly varied with some pieces certainly ticking boxes that you would expect from high-fashion and others providing some more everyday-like options. For example, snakeskin patterns may not ber your everyday wear but the trenchcoat might just be, what with the seasons changing before us.
Daily Paper never fail to disappoint as their recent football jersey release showed, too, and this latest Afrofuturistic collection is available now from www.dailypaper.com.
